Have you been looking for a spiritual home, but none seem to meld with your core values? Are you trying to eat a plant based diet and looking for like minded individuals to encourage you on your path? Here’s the top reasons why we think the First Unitarian Church of Wilmington is the place for you.
That’s right, I saw two guys holding hands in church.  What happened next was...basically normal. They listened to a non-judgemental, non-dogmatic sermon that emphasized action over thoughts and prayers, then socialized with the rest of their congregation over coffee.
Looking for a different kind of church?  Uncomfortable with the church of your youth?  Unitarian Universalists are people of all ages, people of many backgrounds and people of many beliefs.
It has been said that religion is for people who are afraid of going to hell. Spirituality is for people who are already there. Well there’s a church called Unitarian Universalists and guess what? They’re not afraid afraid of going to hell.
Do you want to make the world a better place, but don’t know where to start?  Want to promote human rights, fight for LGBTQ equality, advocate for women’s rights, help refugees and immigrants, solve racial injustice, encourage sustainability within your community, and more?
Need a ride to the Delaware March Against Gun Violence on March 24th? The Human Rights Task Force at the First Unitarian Church is organizing a bus to downtown Wilmington and back.

Stop In For A Visit!

Many people who come to First Unitarian are guests and visitors – our programs and worship are open to all.  If you are considering visiting, or have visited already and plan on attending again, please be sure to stop by our Welcome Table in the Parish Hall, directly behind the church sanctuary, after the service on Sunday.  Members of our congregation will be there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
